Tantalum wire is a kind of filamentary tantalum material made from tantalum powder by rolling, drawing and other plastic processing methods. Tantalum wire is heavily used in the electronics industry, mainly for the anode leads of tantalum electrolytic capacitors.
Classification.
Divided into 3 categories according to chemical purity: (1) metallurgical tantalum wire, purity 99.0% Ta; (2) high purity tantalum wire, purity 99.0%~99.9% Ta; (3) pure tantalum wire, purity 99.9%~99.99% Ta.
According to the performance, it is divided into 4 categories: (1) chemical corrosion resistant tantalum wire; (2) high strength tantalum wire with high temperature resistance; (3) oxygen brittle tantalum wire; (4) capacitor tantalum wire.
According to the use of capacitor tantalum wire is divided into 3 categories: (1) solid tantalum electrolytic capacitor leads with tantalum wire (TalS, Ta2s) (see Chinese national standard GB/T3463-1995); (2) liquid tantalum electrolytic capacitor leads with tantalum wire (TalL, Ta2L) (see Chinese national standard GB/T3463-1995); (3) capacitor tantalum wire with reliability index ( DTals, DTalL) (see Chinese national military standard GJB2511-95).
According to the state capacitor tantalum wire is divided into 3 categories: (1) soft state (M), tensile strength σb = 300 ~ 600MPa; (2) semi-hard state (Y2), tensile strength σb = 600 ~ 1000MPa; (3) hard state (Y), tensile strength σb > 1000MPa.
